Privacy Policy
Lognitor, a product of GrenzPro ("we," "us," or "our"), operates the lognitor.com website and the Lognitor platform (collectively, the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you visit our website or use our Service.
By accessing or using our Service, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you must discontinue use of the Service immediately.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Account Information
When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and organization name. If you subscribe to a paid plan, payment information is collected and processed exclusively by our third-party payment processor(s). We do not store, process, or have access to your full credit card numbers, bank account details, or other sensitive payment credentials on our servers.
1.2 Log Data and Error Data ("Customer Data")
When you use our Service, your applications send log data, error data, and associated metadata to Lognitor through our SDK or API. This data is sent by you explicitly — Lognitor does not automatically capture or intercept any data from your systems. Customer Data may include timestamps, log levels, messages, stack traces, request metadata, user identifiers, and any other information your application explicitly sends to our SDK or API.
You are solely responsible for determining what data your applications send to the Service. You must ensure you have all necessary rights and legal bases to transmit such data and that doing so complies with all applicable laws, including data protection regulations.
1.3 Usage Analytics
We may collect anonymous usage analytics on our website using third-party analytics tools (such as Google Analytics). This may include pages visited, time on page, browser type, device type, approximate geographic location, and referral source. Analytics cookies are only loaded after you provide explicit consent.
1.4 Cookies
We use essential cookies that are strictly necessary for authentication and session management. Non-essential cookies (such as analytics) are only loaded with your explicit consent. You can manage cookie preferences through the banner displayed on your first visit or through your browser settings.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
- To provide, operate, maintain, and improve the Service
- To process your Customer Data to deliver observability features, including AI-powered analysis
- To send transactional communications (account confirmations, security alerts, billing notifications, service updates)
- To send marketing communications (only with your prior opt-in consent; you may unsubscribe at any time)
- To analyze usage patterns to improve the Service (using aggregated, anonymized data where possible)
- To detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, abuse, security incidents, and violations of our Terms of Service
- To comply with applicable legal obligations, lawful requests, and legal process
- To enforce our Terms of Service and protect our rights, property, and safety
3. AI Processing
Lognitor uses artificial intelligence and machine learning technologies (including third-party large language models) to provide features such as AI chat, auto-triage, incident timeline reconstruction, and natural language alerts. Your Customer Data may be processed by these AI systems solely to deliver these features within your account.
Your data is never used to train, fine-tune, or improve AI or machine learning models — whether ours or any third party's. AI processing occurs on secure infrastructure subject to the same security and confidentiality protections as all other Customer Data processing. AI-generated outputs are informational suggestions only and are not professional advice or guarantees of accuracy.
4. Third-Party Services
We engage third-party service providers to help us operate and deliver the Service. These providers process data on our behalf and are contractually bound to use it solely for the purposes we specify. Current categories of providers include:
- Payment Processor(s) — Handles payment transactions. Their own privacy policy governs payment data handling. We do not control and are not responsible for their privacy practices.
- Analytics Provider(s) — Website analytics (e.g., Google Analytics). Only loaded with your cookie consent.
- Email Service Provider(s) — Transactional and marketing email delivery.
- AI Provider(s) — For AI-powered features. Data is processed securely under data processing agreements and is not used for model training.
- Cloud Infrastructure Provider(s) — Hosting, compute, storage, and content delivery.
We may change our service providers from time to time. A current list of sub-processors is maintained in our Data Processing Agreement. We ensure all providers meet appropriate security and data protection standards.
5. Data Retention and Deletion
Customer Data (logs and errors) is retained for the retention period specified by your current plan, as described on our pricing page. Retention periods vary by plan and may be updated from time to time. After your plan's retention period expires, data is queued for permanent deletion and is irrecoverably removed from all production systems within 30 days.
Account information (name, email, organization) is retained for as long as your account remains active and for a reasonable period thereafter to fulfill legal obligations (such as tax and accounting requirements), resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.
You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us at hello@lognitor.com. Upon receiving a verified deletion request, we will delete your data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.
6. Data Security
We implement commercially reasonable technical and organizational security measures to protect your data, including but not limited to: encryption in transit (TLS 1.2 or higher), encryption at rest (AES-256 or equivalent), role-based access controls, regular security assessments, and infrastructure monitoring.
However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security and are not liable for unauthorized access resulting from circumstances beyond our reasonable control. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials, API keys, and project keys.
7. Data Breach Notification
In the event of a confirmed security breach involving your personal data, we will notify affected users without undue delay and in compliance with applicable data breach notification laws. Where required by GDPR, notification will occur within 72 hours of becoming aware of the breach. Notifications will describe the nature of the breach, the data affected, and the remedial measures taken or planned.
